In light of the fact that this letter came from the President of the California Music Educators Association - Southern Section - one of the largest music education organizations in the state (The geographical region covered by CMEA-SS is LARGER than many states), it is reasonable to assume that Delaine Eastin might have taken the time to respond. Well, surprise(!), she didn't. Perhaps she never learned how to write.
