  • Spring 2004 - Urgent Request to Help a British Foe of Bullies Now! A BUNCH of NUTS (National Union of Teachers) led by Bully Thomas Long, an Oxfordshire County Council Education Department personnel officer, has filed a pernicious libel suit against Tim Field, England's greatest fighter against THUGS like Tommy Long. We urge all concerned visitors to sign a petition in support of Tim Field today. Show the NUTs in England just what they can do with their vile attack on someone who has shown support for so many teachers.

  • September 2, 2002 - Delran High School, NJ - Use a weapon, get a slap on the hand. Use a cell phone - automatic suspension for one week!
  • September 1, 2002 - Davis County, Utah - Substitute teacher can't find work because he/she can't "get permission" from school district to seek full-time work - union won't help!
  • August 19, 2002 - LaGuardia Community College, NY scandal on administrative corruption, political cronyism, racial-bloc voting, and anti-Semitism.
  • August 3, 2002 - Citrus County Schools, FL administrators endorse program that allows children to discriminate against other children. Learning disabled child forced to go weeks without a chair or desk!
  • July 10, 2002 - ASEE salutes parent/teacher who blew the whistle on the Cobb County, GA School District when they take her son's hearing aid away as punishment. Her work results in new Federal Laws that will have a positive impact upon millions of children!
  • May 7, 2002 - Los Lunas School District, New Mexico - HOT STEAMY ACTION! This one is just too risqué to put on our front page so, if you're an adult and wish to learn about out how seemingly (steamingly?) incompetent school administrators deal with an unexpected (and, apparently, unintended) "hands on" sex education video demonstration, allegedly performed by one of their sixth grade teachers for his students when he forgot what was on his hard drive (or perhaps we should say when he revealed what was on his "hard drive") you will want to click here for all of the gory details.
  • April 25, 2002 - Delaine Eastin and the California Department of Education DEFY ALL SENSE OF DECENCY and, once again, grants state's highest award to school the retaliates against teachers!
  • March 6, 2002 - California Department of Education honors the Victor Elementary School District (VESD) even though the district has been monitored for the past year by the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR). OCR determined that the district was guilty of two intentional violations of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for retaliating against a teacher who lawfully reported Lomitas Elementary School on charges of racism and discrimination!
  • January 31, 2002 - Bonita Unified School District, San Dimas, California found OUT OF COMPLIANCE by the California Department of Education, Special Education Division!

  • November 2001 - Jersey City School System, an American War Zone! A report that has just been released by a professional researcher/psychological/therapist regarding the results of survey (s)he conducted in the Jersey City School System that reveals the disabling effects of job-related stress inflicted upon teachers from just one school district. The report found that 99.4% of all teachers who responded to the survey suffer from JOB-INFLICTED Psychiatric Injuries!
  • October 29, 2001 - ASEE endorses Mothers from Hell 2, an organization that advocates for the rights of children that is run by a group of extraordinarily courageous women; these ladies are completely unafraid to help school districts discover all of the subtle nuances behind term "mother." As maternal matrons of terror <GRIN>, they know their rights, get things done, and are able to do so with a great sense of humor! ASEE has added a page on our site to lend support to the work of these fine women and their children.
  • October 24, 2001 - Bonita Unified School District, San Dimas, California - Charges filed on behalf of all ADD students at Lone Hill Middle School with the United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights.

  • July 29, 2001 - Stephenville Independent School District, Texas - Superintendent leaves district $3 MILLION in the red and is then hired to conduct budget workshops!

  • July 17, 2001 - ASEE has formed a new alliance with the Rouge Forum - "a group of educators, students, and parents seeking a democratic society. We are concerned about questions like these: How can we teach against racism, national chauvinism and sexism in an increasingly authoritarian and undemocratic society?"
  • July 10, 2001 - Duarte Unified School District, California - Social services called but principal claims "students are only being dramatic."
  • June 28, 2001 - Victor Elementary School District Found in Violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1994 by the U.S. Dept. of Education, Office for Civil Rights!
  • June 27, 2001 - The New York Times announces that President George W. Bush Nominates Affirmative Action Foe to Head U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights. ASEE STRONGLY opposes this nomination and encourages all to write to their elected officials.

  • April 2001 - ASEE Salutes Wrightslaw, a law firm that specializes in protecting the rights of special education children, ESPECIALLY when their rights are denied by the school systems that are allegedly there to assist them. In a nation filled with unscrupulous attorneys who are more concerned with earning a buck than maintaining justice, it is refreshing to find at least one law firm, in this country, that will fight back for children.
  • April 2001 - Channel 13 News, Los Angeles, did a newscast on one of the teachers who was harassed by his school district and whose story has been placed on this site.   • Washington, D.C. - First Lady, Hilary Clinton asks United States Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR) to reexamine case against Lomitas Elementary School - a "National Blue Ribbon School", of the Victor Elementary School District, Victorville, CA, that was monitored, for a period of nearly two years, on charges of segregating students by race and refusing to assist students with special needs.

  • San Diego, CA - ASEE has just received an anonymous tip about a possible San Diego Education Association election scam. It appears that just 200, out of approximately 9,000 teachers voted! ASEE urges the news media to explore this story further!
